Air conditioning installed properly, running efficiently

We offer a comprehensive range of air conditioning installation services at Kent Air Conditioning. Our experienced technicians can help you install your AC unit, ensuring it is installed properly and running efficiently. We can also provide information and advice on selecting the right AC unit for your home or office.

A system that’s undersized, badly positioned or poorly commissioned will never perform as it should. That’s why every installation starts with a proper survey and finishes with a full test — whether it’s a single home unit or a commercial fit-out.

On the day

What happens on installation day?

Here’s what a typical wall-mounted split installation involves, so you know exactly what to expect.

Outdoor air conditioning unit installed on a wall bracket beside a window with tidy pipe trunking

1. Protecting your home

We lay dust sheets, move furniture where needed and confirm the agreed positions for the indoor and outdoor units.

2. Fitting the indoor unit

A mounting plate is fixed level to the wall and a neat hole is drilled through for the pipework, cable and condensate drain.

3. Positioning the outdoor unit

The outdoor unit goes on a wall bracket or ground stand where it has good airflow and can be reached for servicing.

4. Pipework, testing and commissioning

Pipes are connected and finished in tidy trunking. The system is pressure-tested and evacuated before the refrigerant is released, then run and checked in cooling and heating modes.

5. Handover

We show you how to use the remote or app, explain filter cleaning and leave the room as clean as we found it.

Pricing

How much does air conditioning installation cost?

There’s no single price for installing air conditioning, because every property is different. The main factors are:

  • The number of rooms and indoor units
  • The capacity (kW) each room needs
  • The type and finish of indoor unit you choose
  • The length and route of the pipework
  • Access for the outdoor unit — ground, wall or roof
  • Any electrical supply work required

Our quotes are free, fixed and in writing — so you know the full cost before we start.

FAQs

Installation FAQs

Timings, mess, warranties and what to expect.

Still have a question?

Speak to our friendly team — Mon – Fri, 8:00am – 6:00pm.

How long does air conditioning installation take?

Most single-room installations are completed within a day. Multi-room and commercial systems take longer, and we’ll confirm timings in your quote.

Is installation messy or disruptive?

There’s some drilling — usually one neat hole through the wall for the pipework — but we protect floors and furniture, keep dust to a minimum and leave the room clean and tidy.

Do I need to be at home during installation?

Someone needs to be there to let us in at the start and for the handover at the end, so we can show you how to use the controls.

What warranty comes with a new system?

Manufacturer warranties vary by brand and model. We’ll explain the warranty that comes with your system and anything needed to keep it valid, such as regular servicing.

Do I need an F-gas certified installer?

Yes. Split air conditioning systems contain refrigerant, and by law anyone installing or working on them must hold the appropriate F-gas certification. Ask any installer to confirm this before booking.
