Air conditioning that complements beautiful homes

West Kent’s homes deserve air conditioning that looks as considered as the rest of the house.

Around Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and Sevenoaks, many of the homes we work in are period properties, extended family houses or homes with large glazed extensions. They tend to share a few needs: units that are quiet and visually discreet, pipework that’s hidden wherever possible and outdoor units placed thoughtfully in the garden.

We’ll talk you through the options — from slim designer home air conditioning units to multi split systems serving several bedrooms from one outdoor unit.

Extensions & outbuildings

Air conditioning for conservatories, lofts and garden rooms

The rooms that are hardest to keep comfortable are often the newest ones.

Conservatories & orangeries

Glass-heavy rooms overheat in summer and lose heat in winter. A reverse-cycle system keeps them usable all year.

Loft conversions

Heat builds under the roof. We’ll recommend wall or floor units to suit sloping ceilings.

Garden offices & studios

A single split system turns a garden building into a comfortable workspace in any season.

Design choices

Choosing air conditioning for a period or high-spec home

Are there stylish air conditioning units?

Yes. Beyond standard white units, many manufacturers offer slim designer ranges in finishes such as matt black, silver and mirror, as well as floor consoles and concealed ducted options.

How discreet can the pipework be?

Where we can, we run pipework back-to-back through the wall directly behind the indoor unit, through lofts or within cupboards. Where trunking is needed, it’s kept straight, neat and as short as possible.

Will the outdoor unit be noisy in the garden?

Modern outdoor units are much quieter than older models, and careful positioning — away from bedroom windows, patios and neighbours’ boundaries — makes a big difference.

Still have a question?

Speak to our friendly team — Mon – Fri, 8:00am – 6:00pm.

Do you install air conditioning in Tonbridge and Sevenoaks too?

Yes. We cover Royal Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Southborough, Pembury, Paddock Wood and the surrounding West Kent villages.

Can air conditioning be installed in a garden office?

Yes — garden offices and studios are ideal for a single split system, which can cool in summer and heat in winter. We’ll check the building’s insulation and electrical supply as part of the survey.

Are there air conditioning units that look good in a period home?

Absolutely. Floor consoles, slim designer wall units in finishes such as matt black or mirror, and concealed ducted systems all suit period interiors.
